Formats and Speed for document delivery

Delivery formats:

• PDF (default) via e-mail. Plain PDF without DRM protection. Depends on publisher's agreements.
  
  
• PDF / DRM via e-mail. This format is offered by our suppliers Infotrieve and Reprints Desk
  
  Please note for receiving PDF / DRM from Infotrieve:
  To receive DRM delivery Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 or higher is required. There is NO plug-in or executable needed to open and process the encrypted PDF documents! After ordering a document via PDF / DRM option, Infotrieve will send you an e-mail containing the bibliographic information about the document you have ordered and a hyperlink to the document. Click on the link to view your document.
  How long a document will be available depends on Infotrieve's publisher agreements. Those agreements define also the number of times the document may be viewed or printed.
  
  Please note for receiving PDF / DRM from Reprints Desk:
  To receive DRM delivery Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 or higher is required. There is NO plug-in or executable needed to open and process the encrypted PDF documents! After ordering a document via PDF/DRM option, ReprintsDesk will send you an e-mail to confirm that the document is available (e-mail address: customersupport@reprintsdesk.com). This e-mail contains the bibliographic information about the document you have ordered and a hyperlink to the document. Click on the link to view your document. The electronic copy of the document will be available as long as the publisher agreements allows, e.g. 30 days.For further information about PDF/ DRM please visit: http://www.reprintsdesk.com/help/drm_faq.aspx.
  
  
• PDF / DRM FileOpen via e-mail. This format is offered by four of our suppliers: INIST, BLDSC, TIB and BSB. After choosing this option, the suitable supplier will be shown on the order form. According to the specific supplier it will be necessary to make some adjustments:
  

  Please Note for receiving PDF / DRM FileOpen from INIST:
  To receive DRM delivery Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher is required. In addition, the INIST SED plug-in must be installed. It is available for download from INIST or FileOpen Systems .Use this test document to verify that the SED plug-in is working and that you can open and process encrypted SED documents. If you cannot open the test document: contact INIST's customer support: assistance-technique@inist.fr or contact the FIZ AutoDoc. For details and further information please click here
  
  Please Note for receiving PDF / DRM FileOpen from BLDSC:
  To receive DRM delivery Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 or higher is required. In addition, the BLDSC FileOpen plug-in must be installed. It is available on the FileOpen Systems Website. Use this test document to verify that the FileOpen plug-in is working and that you can open and process encrypted SED documents. If difficulties with handling BLDSC documents should occur, please contact FIZ AutoDoc. More details and information are compiled here.
  
  Please note for receiving PDF / DRM FileOpen from TIB:
  To receive DRM delivery, you need an Adobe Reader plug-in. There are plug-ins for the different operating systems, see http://plugin.fileopen.com/plugininstallpage.html. The installation of the plug-in is free of charge. Click on the sample document. If the plug-in has not been installed yet, an error message will appear, leading you directly to the FileOpenSystems Website with the installation instructions. If you have any difficulty accessing or printing the sample document, contact the FIZ AutoDoc Help Desk or TIB Customer Service (customerservice(at)tib.uni-hannover.de). After ordering a document, the delivery of a DRM-protected document will be announced by a separate e-mail.

  To receive DRM delivery, you need an Adobe Reader plug-in. There are plug-ins for the different operating systems, see http://plugin.fileopen.com/plugininstallpage.html. The installation of the plug-in is free of charge. Click on the sample document. If the plug-in has not been installed yet, an error message will appear, leading you directly to the FileOpenSystems Website with the installation instructions.   Please Note: This format is only available for your company's own subscriptions. A list of subscribed eJournals is used to create a hyperlink to the requested eJournal.



• Printed Copy (by postal mail or courier*)
  

Delivery speed:

• Immediate: The requested Document ist available as immediate download from the publisher.



• Standard (default): Processing will be made within 48 hours. If the requested journals are not available for processing, however, the delivery may be delayed.
  
  
• Rush: Processing as quickly as possible within 24 hours.
  
  
• Super Rush: Processing as quickly as possible within 3 hours.

Defaults for format and speed can be defined in the user settings ("User Settings"-->"Order Details").
